Full-time (Days) We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join a prestigious organization in the Lake District.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficient operation of our facility by performing repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the site's qualified individual for all facets of Electrical Maintenance engineering, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Conduct repairs, maintenance, and enhancements on equipment, machinery, and control systems, utilizing planning and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with Site Shift Electricians and the Engineering Manager on ongoing projects.
  • Prioritize tasks in conjunction with production Team Leaders during concurrent breakdowns.
  • Respond swiftly to requests from production, non-production, and engineering teams.
  • Oversee documentation and data management, including Electrical logs, Engineering Work Requests, and Permits to Work Certificates.
  • Maintain records for Planned Maintenance, Safety Clearance Certificates, and Plant Handover documents.
  • Update hardware and electrical software schematics, and manage PLC equipment.
  • Monitor and report on inventory shortages and stock levels.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recognized qualification in electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industrial experience.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical systems.
  • Experienced in implementing modifications to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Knowledgeable in commissioning and testing new installations.
  • Able to interpret electrical engineering diagrams.
  • Willingness to engage in an 8-week shift pattern, covering out-of-hours and holiday periods.
  • Training in PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Scada systems) is advantageous.
  • Experience with electrical drive and control systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to self-improvement and development.
