Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will provide site-based engineering support to ensure the uptime and availability of our automated equipment. You will work closely with our shift team to utilise your broad range of skills and take a proactive approach to improving performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment.
- Perform planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment, including tote conveyors, spiral conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and robotics.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Prioritise system faults and optimise uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
- Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and participate in site meetings as required.
- Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience working with automated material handling systems.
- Ability to work at height and understand mechanical, electrical, and electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Proven competence in health and safety and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
- Ability to work in a time-critical environment and effectively manage time and workload.
- PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
