About the Role

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a skilled Project Worker to join our team at our Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients who have experienced domestic abuse, helping them to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular assessments of client needs, developing and updating support plans to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Assist clients with managing finances and accessing welfare benefits, promoting financial stability and independence.
  • Encourage social inclusion and build client confidence, resilience, and self-esteem through various activities and interventions.
  • Collaborate with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure seamless support for clients, advocating on their behalf when necessary.
  • Promote safe working practices, conducting risk assessments and adhering to legislative frameworks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background in a supported living environment as a Project Worker.
  • Sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management.
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and independently, sourcing innovative solutions to problems.
  • Empathetic and non-judgmental approach, with excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
