Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Planning Manager to join our team at CV Library. This exciting opportunity will involve guiding and supporting our regional Land and Partnership and Technical teams to deliver commercially structured and legally robust planning consents in a timely and consistent manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, defining, and managing a corporate framework to support the regions in managing the planning process from start to finish. They will also upskill and train regions as required on both the group processes for managing planning within the business and the planning system itself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a corporate framework to support regional planning teams
  • Provide guidance and training to regional teams on planning processes and systems
  • Review and manage planning consents to ensure commercial and legal robustness
  • Deal with contentious or challenging planning issues
  • Represent the business's interests externally in the context of the planning system

Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the housing market and housing development. The ideal candidate will have a property-related or relevant degree, such as town/urban planning, real estate, or law, and be a Chartered Planner.
