Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trust Grade Registrar to join our team in Geriatric Medicine. This is a 12-month post that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical skills and knowledge
  • Participating in audits, governance activities, and service improvement projects to enhance their CV and contribute to the improvement of patient care
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of current knowledge and practice in Geriatric Medicine
  • Attending clinical meetings and participating in educational activities to enhance their professional development

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • GMC registration with Licence to Practice
  • Full MRCP
  • Full ALS
  • Good and wide-ranging recent experience of clinical medicine in an acute inpatient setting in a large acute hospital
  • At least 12 months UK experience at Registrar level
  • Geriatric experience at at least foundation and CT level
