We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Milesian Manor Care Home in Magherafelt. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, supporting their social, emotional, and physical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred care to residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
- Support the nursing team in providing care and assistance to residents, including administering medication and assisting with daily living tasks.
- Engage with residents in activities and hobbies, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
- Update and maintain accurate records of resident care, including medication administration and daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care and support to residents.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Good understanding of care principles and practices, including dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and care planning.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
