We are seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with the Audit Manager to ensure service excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and lead onsite audit teams, ensuring timely completion of engagements.
- Prepare accounts and tax computations, maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build professional relationships with clients, adopting a proactive approach to problem-solving and providing expert advice.
- Oversee junior team members, managing workflow, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities.
- Work closely with Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
- Identify and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the audit function.
- Support business development for the firm, identifying new service lines for your portfolio.

- Experience leading external audits from planning to completion.
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Previous client-facing experience with good relationship-building skills.
- Strong working knowledge of audit and accounting software.
- Confident using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure.
- A team player who is eager to support the wider team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
