- Operational Oversight: The Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of housing operations, supervising team members, and supporting the governing board to ensure adherence to all regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Governance and Compliance: This role involves maintaining governance structures that align with best practices and legal requirements. The Coordinator will engage with external organizations, stay informed on housing regulations, and provide guidance on policy matters.
- Financial Management: Ensuring robust financial controls are in place is essential. The Coordinator will also oversee Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety compliance.
- Conflict Resolution: The Coordinator will manage complaints, disputes, and legal matters efficiently, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate computer systems and records is crucial, along with ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
- Member Engagement: The Coordinator will ensure that all information and policies are accessible to members, providing a comprehensive Welcome Pack for new members.
- Staff Management: Monitoring staff hours, leave, and conducting performance reviews are key duties. Identifying training needs for staff is also a priority.
- Property Management: The Coordinator will oversee the letting process for vacant properties and coordinate with local authorities regarding allocations.
- Maintenance Coordination: Keeping an updated list of contractors and consultants, the Coordinator will liaise with relevant parties to ensure maintenance and development projects are executed according to the established program.
- General Representation: Acting as a representative for the organization, the Coordinator will strive to enhance member satisfaction and improve operational systems while addressing any instances of misconduct.
