Job Title: Manufacturing Automation Specialist

Location: Maidenhead

Salary: Up to 45k DOE

We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Automation Specialist to drive cutting-edge automation projects in our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you'll design and implement innovative automation and robotic systems to streamline production, identify opportunities to automate processes, and collaborate across teams to ensure automation solutions meet both operational needs and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement automation and robotic systems to improve efficiency and quality.
  2. Identify opportunities to automate processes and recommend solutions.
  3. Troubleshoot automation systems and recommend repairs or upgrades.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automation solutions meet operational needs and industry regulations.
  5. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by optimizing designs for automation.
  6. Develop inspection strategies using vision and sensor technologies.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on Automation or Robotics.
  2. Advanced skills in RAPID programming and C++.
  3. Hands-on experience with robotic assembly line simulations and sensor vision systems (Cognex, Keyence).
  4. Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  2. Expertise with RAPID, Solidworks, TIA Portal, and Robot Studio.
  3. Certified in PLC programming and Six Sigma methodologies.
