About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our FPGA Prototyping Verification team at ARM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the verification of SoC RTL designs that are modified for FPGA implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verification of SoC RTL Designs: Develop and maintain SoC verification testbench, integrate third-party VIPs, write test cases in C, and reuse C test cases from internal IP SoC frontend team.
  • Automation and Tool Development: Develop tools using scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Shell for automation of tasks.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with engineers from other teams, including architecture, design, implementation, verification, and software development to lead verification efforts of assigned projects.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior members of the team.
Requirements
  • Embedded Systems Experience: Worked on embedded C++ based SoC verification environments.
  • Bus Standards Experience: Experience working with systems using AMBA bus standards, e.g., AXI, AHB, APB.
  • Verification Experience: Extensive experience of relevant verification experience, including technical team leadership, mentoring, or coaching junior engineers.
  • Computer Architecture Fundamentals: Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals.
  • Scripting Languages: Experience with Tcl, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Verification Methodologies: Exposure to all stages of verification, including requirements collection, creation of verification methodology plans, test plans, testbench implementation, test case development, documentation, and support.
Nice to Have
  • ARM-Based Designs: Experience with ARM-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures.
  • ARM Debugger and Trace Features: Familiarity with ARM debugger and trace features, e.g., ARM DS, DSTREAM.
  • Verification Methodologies: Experience with verification methodologies – UVMOVM.
