About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Homeownership Collections Team Leader to join our team at Peabody. As a subject matter expert in Homeownership Collections, you will lead our Officers and Assistants in the timely collection of rent, ground rent, service charge, equity loan interest, and other sundry payments due to Peabody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire your team to consistently meet and exceed targets and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Results-focused with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice of the Housing Acts, Landlord and Tenant Act, and the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act.
  • Proactive, able to multi-task, and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Experienced in working with homeownership accounts, providing complex case handling, including arrears recovery and complaint resolution.
  • Numerically proficient, including working with various data reports, Excel, and account transactions.
  • Comfortable taking legal action, including Court attendance.
  • Support in the collection of former tenant arrears (general needs tenures) and aware of the heat billing collections process.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
