Position Overview

Lead Business Intelligence Engineer - Flexible Work Environment

Coltech Global is collaborating with a prominent industrial services organization that is expanding its data analytics team in response to ongoing achievements. They are seeking a seasoned Lead Business Intelligence Engineer to enhance their team.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with designing and maintaining business intelligence frameworks utilizing Microsoft Power BI and associated technologies. This role involves data integration, modeling, and visualization to produce comprehensive datasets and analytical reports. Additionally, you will be instrumental in guiding junior BI professionals and upholding data quality and accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the architecture of BI solutions, data repositories, and secure datasets.
  • Establish and manage secure datasets to meet business reporting requirements.
  • Execute ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and other relevant tools.
  • Provide mentorship and assistance to junior BI team members.
  • Evaluate and confirm new datasets and reports to ensure dependability and compliance.
  • Tackle data integrity and quality challenges, enhancing data transformation and reporting processes.
  • Create and sustain BI process documentation and system architecture outlines.
  • Engage with end-users, key stakeholders, and process owners to ensure BI solutions align with changing business needs.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
  • Design workflows and automate processes.
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives alongside other business systems analysts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Logic Apps, Data Lake, Data Bricks, and Power BI.
  • Practical experience with ETL tools and methodologies, particularly using SSIS and ADF.
  • Knowledge of low-code Microsoft platforms, such as SharePoint, Nintex, Power Apps, and Power Query.
  • Experience in database administration or related fields.
  • Proficient in analyzing intricate data scenarios and solutions.
