Coltech has partnered with a global industrial services company that is rapidly growing its data team due to continuous success. They are looking to bring in an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to the team


This successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and related technologies. The successful candidate will work on data integration, modelling, and visualisation to create robust datasets and reports. You will also play a key role in coaching junior BI professionals and ensuring data quality and integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of BI solution architecture, data warehouses, and secure datasets.
  • Create and maintain secure data sets for business reporting needs.
  • Perform ETL integrations using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and other tools.
  • Mentor and support junior BI team members.
  • Test and validate new data sets and reports to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Address data integrity and quality issues, improving data transformation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain BI process maps and system architecture documentation.
  • Collaborate with end-users, key users, and process owners to align BI solutions with evolving business requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information.
  • Develop workflows and process automation.
  • Support digital transformation projects alongside other business systems analysts.


Key Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure stack, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Logic Apps, Data Lake, Data Bricks, and Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes, specifically using SSIS and ADF.
  • Experience with low-code Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Nintex, Power Apps, and Power Query.
  • Background in DBA activities or related experience.
  • Experience in analysing complex data scenarios and solutions.
