SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming school in Newham.

The successful candidate will provide 1 to 1 support and general classroom assistance, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1 to 1 support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and lessons
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff and teachers to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with SEN primary school-aged children
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and well-being
