Our team at London Hire Group is seeking a skilled PCV Driver to join our fleet. As a PCV Driver, you will be responsible for providing a safe and professional driving service to our clients and service users. Your duties will include operating the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits, and ensuring that all passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly in the appropriate location using the necessary safety equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is cleaned inside and out on a regular basis, as a minimum on a weekly basis, and that the vehicle is parked in the depot correctly, in pre-allocated bays where possible. Additionally, you will be required to operate the passenger lift and other equipment used to assist passengers whilst entering and exiting the vehicle safely. You will need to communicate with passengers and clients in a patient and informative manner, and assist the Passenger Assistant with their duties as required. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a sound understanding of working with individuals with disabilities, be able to deliver the service with a patient and level-headed attitude, and hold a full unrestricted D driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points. You will also need to hold a CPC qualification card, with mandatory training kept up to date, and a minimum of two years' experience of driving a bus or coach. You will be required to hold or be willing to apply for a DVLA Digital Tachograph driver's card, and undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check. You will also need to hold a current and valid D4 medical examination report.
