Job Title: PCV Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PCV Driver to join our team at London Hire Group. As a PCV Driver, you will be responsible for providing a safe and professional driving service to our clients and service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe Driving Practices: Operate the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits. Report any fines or tickets received to the office as soon as possible.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure mandatory vehicle checks are undertaken every time the vehicle is used to a standard acceptable on the road. Report any defects to the office.
  • Passenger Safety: Ensure that all passengers and wheelchair users are secured correctly in the appropriate location using the necessary safety equipment.
  • Vehicle Management: Ensure that the vehicle in use has adequate fuel for the journey, refueling as and when required or instructed. Clean the vehicle inside and out on a regular basis, as a minimum on a weekly basis.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate the passenger lift and other equipment used to assist passengers whilst entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
  • Communication: Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient, informative manner.
  • Teamwork: Assist the Passenger Assistant with their duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Driving Qualifications: Hold a full unrestricted D driving licence (auto restrictions acceptable) with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • CPC Qualification: Hold a CPC qualification card, with mandatory training kept up to date.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' experience of driving a bus or coach.
  • Medical Certificate: Hold a current and valid D4 medical examination report.
  • DBS Check: Willing to undertake and satisfy a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
