Programme Controls Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Controls Lead to join our Business Development team in a strategic programme management role. As a Programme Controls Lead, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing processes to track and monitor programme-level metrics, including risk management, forecasting, integrated schedule reporting, and KPIs for internal and external government reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programme-level governance processes and procedures to support programme management, governance, and reporting requirements.
- Work with project and group professionals to ensure programme processes are efficient and integrated with existing company project processes.
- Implement programme management processes and tools to track and manage programme progress and metrics, aligning with project managers and work stream leads.
- Collaborate with government affairs and finance teams to develop and implement government funding governance processes, ensuring programme progress aligns with the agreed strategy and is reported to key stakeholders.
- Develop and manage programme-level risk and opportunities processes, ensuring alignment with project risk management and group risk management processes.
- Establish robust processes to monitor, track, and report programme progress, submitting claims against government funding grants, and ensuring funding is maximized and managed compliantly.
- Develop and manage programme-level documentation in association with the project sponsor role.
- Build, manage, and develop resources required to carry out programme controls functions.
- Strong capabilities in programme and project management processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to integrate processes.
- Demonstrable strategic programme management experience coordinating programmes of works exceeding £100m.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing new processes and procedures relating to project and programme governance.
- Ability to analyze and challenge data and information.
- Ability to generate performance reporting and tracking metrics.
- Ability to set up and manage governance and reporting templates for project and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of UK government funding requirements and governance.
- Ability to think strategically and ensure programme metrics align with overall programme objectives.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
