Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Facilities Manager to become part of our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our clientele through the optimization of maintenance and operations, offering tailored solutions for spare parts, repairs, and overhauls of existing passenger and freight trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the maintenance and utility operations of the site.
  • Ensure effective management of labor costs, overheads, and materials to successfully complete projects and essential preventive maintenance.
  • Engage actively in leading and advocating for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise both team members and contracted personnel.
  • Conduct daily briefings to guide staff in achieving production objectives.
  • Champion Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental enhancements to align with applicable regulations.
  • Provide on-call support via telephone and coordinate the appropriate personnel or contractors to address site needs.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in building systems, maintenance, and facilities management within a manufacturing or production context.
  • Proficient in tendering and executing projects.
  • Strong skills in project management.
  • Experience in managing budgets effectively.
  • Familiarity with health and safety legislation.
  • IOSH certification is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
