JRL Group Ltd is a leading provider of haulage and waste management solutions, specializing in bespoke services for complex construction projects. With a nationwide network of depots and a fleet exceeding 100 HGVs, we are committed to delivering exceptional results.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient operation of our HGV fleet.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage the workload of the transport team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant departments to optimize project efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to vehicle compliance regulations and oversee scheduled servicing to ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Provide support to the administrative team in maintaining accurate vehicle records and documentation.
  • Educate and motivate the transport team on legislative requirements and best practices within the industry.
  • Ensure that authorized vehicles are strategically positioned at designated operating centers for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development of the transport team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and pursuing FORS accreditation to enhance our safety and environmental performance.
  • Implement robust systems to ensure driver compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a logistics management role, preferably within the haulage sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in FORS accreditation processes and HGV fleet management best practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to the transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software systems commonly used in logistics operations.
  • Valid Transport Manager CPC National / International Qualification.
