Senior Transport Planner Job Opportunity

Access Talent Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join their team. As a key member of the consultancy, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  2. Produce high-quality transport planning reports and technical notes that communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure effective project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Manage project budgets and financial monitoring to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant university degree or apprenticeship in a field such as transport planning, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time and to budget.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Excellent standard of written English, particularly in report writing.
  5. High level of competence in the use of MS Office products, including Excel and Word.
  6. Experience of working with transportation planning software, such as Junctions 9/10, TRICS, and TEMPRO.
  7. Knowledge of government transport policy and guidelines.
  8. Understanding of the principles of transport planning.
  9. Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Excellent time and budget management skills.
  11. Experience using LINSIG and interpreting results.
  12. Experience using AutoCAD and AutoTrack.
  13. Masters Degree in Transport or a related subject.
  14. Professional Membership of an appropriate institution, such as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
