Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN Support in Lancaster

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lancaster. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and TAs to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Liaise with professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff to ensure seamless support for children
  • Work closely with other LSAs and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Prepare and develop class displays to showcase children's work and achievements
  • Keep up-to-date records of children's progress and contribute to their EHCP plans
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children who have SEN
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviors
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people
  • Creative, proactive, and flexible approach to support
  • TA qualification (L2/3)
