Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Lancaster

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide vital support for our KS3 and KS4 students and teachers in Lancaster.

Job Summary:

This role offers a daily wage between £85 and £90, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching skills. As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, provide one-on-one support to students, and contribute to a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide reading, writing, and SPAG support to students.
  • Adjust or break down activities to support participation and understanding.
  • Develop a supportive relationship with students to promote self-esteem and confidence.
  • Liaise with teachers and SENCO about student development and support needs.
  • Provide whole-class, small-group, and one-to-one support.
  • Monitor and maintain records of student progress.
  • Assist with general school duties, including setting up classrooms and supervising students during lunchtimes.
Requirements:
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with students.
  • Be creative, proactive, and flexible in your supporting style.
  • Have experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties.
  • TA qualified.
