Job Title: RF Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to join our team at MBDA, a leading defence organisation. As an RF Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the research, design, and testing of cutting-edge radio-frequency technology for integration into our complex weapons systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RF circuits across a wide frequency range (e.g., 30MHz to 30GHz) for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets performance, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform design proving tests and trials in our onsite laboratory.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports and test results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our designs remain competitive.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in RF design and testing, with a focus on component-level design.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic principles and their application in RF design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in RF design tools, such as Microwave Office, and experience with layout design.
  • Good knowledge of digital, analogue, and power supply design.
