Job Title: Acting Nurse Manager Anaesthetics/PACU

Job Summary:

Cabrini Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse to fill a 12-month fixed-term Acting Nurse Manager position in our Perioperative Services Department at Malvern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Anaesthetics and PACU team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and experience.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse leader to build on their current management experience and contribute to the growth and development of our team. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the Anaesthetics and PACU team to deliver high-quality patient care and experience
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient safety and outcomes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Providing guidance and support to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Participating in quality improvement activities to drive excellence in patient care

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration
  • Clinical experience in Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit Nursing
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing budgets
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
