Job Summary:

The Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to provide support across various subjects. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, working with small groups or one-on-one with students, and helping to manage classroom behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
  • Work with small groups of students to reinforce learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support teachers with administrative tasks and classroom organization.
  • Participate in school activities and events as required.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any discipline.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Safeguarding and Child Protection:

The successful candidate will require a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
