About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our vibrant research environment at Northumbria University. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of research activity on the In2Air project, focusing on the impact of household energy interventions on indoor air quality, health, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a network of air quality sensors and engage with participants from diverse communities.
- Conduct data analytics, interviews, workshops, and other public events to advance research knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of research methodologies, techniques, and publications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve impactful knowledge transfer.
About the Team
The In2Air project is a collaborative effort across the Faculty of Engineering and Environment, aligned with the Urban Futures Interdisciplinary Research Theme. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, including experts from Geography, Computing, and the Built Environment, as well as partners from Newcastle University, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Newcastle City Council.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and possess expertise in air quality monitoring, quantitative research, programming, and data analytics. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with community participants are essential.
