Production Support Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team at our Worcester facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site engineering support across various shifts, addressing breakdowns, executing changeovers, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, collaborating with the production team to identify root causes and implement effective solutions to enhance reliability.
- Execute planned maintenance tasks (PPM) and respond promptly to unscheduled maintenance requirements, taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Team Leader to plan, schedule, and manage daily and weekly workloads effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient management of spares.
- Actively identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance PPM processes, store management, maintenance activities, and equipment/process efficiency.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within your designated work areas and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the technical development of Production Operators by providing support in changeovers, shutdown procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of production equipment and CIP procedures, ensuring minimal operator coverage during operational needs.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to established protocols for machinery operation, fault finding, maintenance, and personal well-being.
- Maintain a commitment to delivering company and industry-leading quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring clear and concise information exchange through presentations, recommendations, plans, and decisions.
- Conduct thorough handovers, exchanging essential information with colleagues during shift transitions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with any other reasonable requests from the Maintenance Manager or Site Leadership Team.
