We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of security and safety to patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital. This will involve patrolling the premises, responding to incidents, and providing escorts as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol the hospital premises to prevent and detect crime
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies
  • Provide escorts for staff and visitors
  • Undertake cash lifts and monitor alarms
  • Work with the Fire Response & Major Incident teams
  • Monitor and report on security incidents and breaches
  • Provide a presence within the Emergency Department
  • Support with car parking and traffic management duties
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches
  • Attend court and give evidence as required
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be required to wear Trust-approved uniform and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
