About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Older Adult Locality Team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership to a team of psychologists working in community teams, including a Community Mental Health Team, a Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, a Memory Assessment Service, and an older adult inpatient ward.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and work clinically into older adult services in the area, according to need.
  • Link with psychology leads from across the mental health network, which incorporates adult mental health and secure services, at regular meetings.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist (clinical).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience, including experience within older adult settings.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups across the whole life course, in various settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, inpatient, and residential care settings.
