We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Older Adult Locality Team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership to a team of psychologists working in community teams, including a Community Mental Health Team, a Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, a Memory Assessment Service, and an older adult inpatient ward.
- Supervise junior colleagues and work clinically into older adult services in the area, according to need.
- Link with psychology leads from across the mental health network, which incorporates adult mental health and secure services, at regular meetings.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist (clinical).
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS.
- Substantial post-qualification experience, including experience within older adult settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups across the whole life course, in various settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, inpatient, and residential care settings.
- A supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Opportunities for clinical professional development, peer support, and networking with colleagues.
- Good resources for CPD and supervision.
- Strong links to regional D Clin Psych courses/Universities with opportunities to contribute to teaching, research, and trainee placements.
