A skilled Thermal Systems Engineer is sought by Meridian Business Support to enhance and innovate their current and upcoming product lines.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual with a solid technical foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems, particularly in heating, plumbing, or HVAC domains.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance and Product Enhancement:
    Engage in 2D/3D CAD design tasks, contributing 5% of your time. Comprehensive training will be provided, but a strong aptitude for testing and customizing systems is crucial.
  • Participate in project initiatives as outlined by the company's New Product Development (NPD) strategy, while managing specific projects as necessary.
  • Conduct product and performance evaluations as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy of schematic system design drawings, applying engineering principles to underfloor heating, heat pump, and solar thermal system design calculations using the company’s design software.
  • Generate or review technical documentation as needed.
  • Support product training across various departments within the organization as required.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, with some Electrical knowledge being advantageous).
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, ideally in fluid mechanics and/or heat pump and solar thermal systems.
  • Proficient ICT skills, with a preference for familiarity with programming related to engineering and 3D design software.

  • Standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
