This exceptional low-secure hospital offers specialized care to both male and female patients diagnosed with mental illness and/or personality disorders. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and fostering positive outcomes.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and observations to identify individual needs, subsequently planning and implementing tailored interventions for both group and individual settings.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team, ensuring clinical practices align with established company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior occupational therapy staff and students, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the occupational therapy service within the hospital under the supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist.
  • Organize and deliver engaging therapeutic activities for patients, promoting their well-being and recovery.
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions based on established models of practice, documenting progress effectively.
  • Offer practical support, advice, and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness and/or personality disorders.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of occupational therapy frameworks and approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical reasoning skills, ensuring evidence-based practice.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant assessment and treatment models within the field of mental health.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse individuals, promoting inclusivity and tailored support.
