About the Role:

Cedar is seeking an exceptional Procurement Director to join our dynamic and rapidly growing global company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in driving operational excellence and delivering high-value solutions across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that supports all global operations, driving continuous improvement in procurement and logistics processes, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service levels.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services at the best possible cost.
  • Logistics Management: Optimize global logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, and transportation, working with global suppliers and managing the logistics of moving high-quality goods to various global locations.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the procurement and logistics budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency, conducting regular financial/data analysis to identify efficiencies and other cost-saving opportunities.
  • Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in procurement and logistics operations, promoting sustainable procurement and logistics practices in line with our corporate social responsibility goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 10-15 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Broad generalist indirect category exposure.
  • Experience working for a scale-up business and adept at working with ambiguity/change.
  • Expertise in procurement within the cloud, computing, real estate development, or construction-related industries.
  • Proven success in developing and executing procurement and logistics strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • In-depth knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and logistics best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement and logistics software and technology solutions.
