Senior Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at LKA Recruitment.
The successful candidate will provide advanced speech and language therapy services, focusing on adult neurology and acquired brain injury (ABI) cases.
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions for adults with neurological conditions.
- Manage complex dysphagia cases within an adult neurology caseload.
- Develop and implement therapy models and interventions, including social communication and cognitive communication strategies.
- Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement projects, and service development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct risk assessments.
- Hold a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Have a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years working with adults with neurological conditions.
- Have knowledge of evidence-based practice and speech and language therapy outcome measures.
- Be proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and therapy-specific applications.
- Hold a valid UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel as required.
- Hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Have experience in community settings and working with challenging behaviours.
- Have experience in cognitive rehabilitation and managing conflict.
- Have knowledge of clinical governance, health and safety, and research methods.
- Demonstrate a values-driven approach and commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
