Job Overview

Position: Associate Structural Engineer

Location: Leeds

Calibre Search is collaborating with a distinguished Engineering Consultancy seeking to appoint an Associate to enhance their expanding Leeds office. This office is known for delivering multidisciplinary design and engineering services across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical direction of client projects, ensuring successful delivery from feasibility to completion.
  • Utilize your Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer status to manage and develop significant business areas.
  • Engage with local markets in the Yorkshire/North-East region to leverage business opportunities.
  • Prepare bids and tenders, demonstrating credibility and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants to create effective design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive postgraduate experience in major structural engineering projects.
  • Proficient in design codes and standards related to structural engineering.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D design software packages.
  • Knowledge of construction implementation and site supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in various design types including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber.

As a natural leader, you will foster the technical growth of the team, develop client relationships, and drive business development initiatives. Your role will also involve:

  • Identifying opportunities for new consultancy work.
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget.
