**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Bus Maintenance Technician to join our team at Arriva Cymru Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of buses and coaches.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on our fleet of buses and coaches, adhering to strict standards set by Arriva and the DVSA.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on our vehicles, ensuring they are returned to service in a safe and reliable condition.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vehicle reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks and prepare vehicles for MOTs, ensuring they meet Arriva's high standards.
  • Attend to roadside breakdowns and ensure prompt resolution to minimize disruption to our services.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent international qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Be able to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive hourly rate of £17.30.
  • A full-time, permanent contract with 38 hours per week, rotating shifts.
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (£25.50/h) Monday-Saturday and 2x (£34.00) Sunday.
  • An on-call retainer of £19.27/day Monday-Friday and £27.46/day Saturday-Sunday.
