We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facility Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Engineering and Facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Compliance
- Develop and maintain a world-class safety culture, ensuring the highest standards of safety are met at all times.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and remediate safety risks and issues.
- Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS's, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS's, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFD's, and Transformers.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking.
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement improvements to our data center operations.
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in a critical operations environment.
- Broad operational knowledge and experience with and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Extensive Data Center engineering experience or Job-related experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
