Data Center Facility Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Facility Engineer to join our team at Amazon Data Services UK Limited. As a key member of our Engineering and Facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS Cloud regions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained and a world-class safety culture is fostered.
- Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS's, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, and Diesel Generators.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking.
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required.
- Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night).
- On-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls.

- Experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in data center engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
