Job Title: Automation and Controls Discipline Manager

Wood Digital Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Automation and Controls Discipline Manager to join our EMEA Systems Integration business. This is a new position as part of our continued growth plans.

About the Role

The Discipline Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Discipline Team Leads and their direct reports to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Automation and Controls department. The department is expected to consist of 40+ Engineers of varying levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Functional management and development of discipline engineering resources
  • Governance of discipline practices and procedures
  • Acting as a discipline subject matter expert to support and drive engineering excellence across the wider organization
  • Leading by example, consistently displaying and enforcing the Company's values and behaviors
Requirements
  • ISCED Level 6 / Bachelor's (minimum) or Level 7 / Master's (preferred) degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Chartership with a relevant professional body / Professional Engineer License or equivalent is an advantage
  • Extensive broad and deep experience of engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors
  • Expert level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes
  • Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs
  • Experienced in developing talent using coaching, mentoring, and formal performance processes
