Physiotherapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Specialist to join our dynamic out-patient Physiotherapy teams at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to expand their clinical portfolio, work in a quality-driven service, and contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities- To deliver advanced Physiotherapy assessment, advice, and treatment to patients, and act as a source of expertise to fellow clinicians, Trust managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- To work under the supervision of Consultants in clinic settings as required, and assist in the 18-week targets.
- To lead in training and development of clinical practice and service, and manage, supervise, and appraise staff and students within the specialist area.

Person Specification- Good standard of general education, including GCSE English and maths grade C or above.
- Evidence of CPD, including recent postgraduate training relevant to clinical specialty.
- Evidence of leadership training.
- Significant experience in MSK within various settings of the MSK field.
- Implementation of change management principles.
- Demonstration of specialist knowledge across a range of Physiotherapy procedures, practices, and treatments.
- Attendance at postgraduate courses relevant to clinical work.
- Attendance at mandatory training.
- Evidence of in-service training.
- Experience of producing reports/data analysis.
- Pilates training/qualification.
- An ability to contribute to the clinical education of less experienced staff, students, and assistants.
- Highly developed physical skills, including dexterity, coordination, and sensory skills for assessment and manual physiotherapy treatment of patients.
- An ability to supervise and delegate work to junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
- An ability to propose changes in policies/procedures that may improve the service.
- Good working knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to the client group and their implications for Physiotherapy.
- Understanding of the impact of local cultural and demographic factors influencing service.
- Flexible and able to meet the travel requirements of the position.
