Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs

Zest Education Ltd is recruiting a full-time Classroom Assistant to join a school in the Lichfield area.

The school prides itself on creating an inclusive environment that allows individuals to express themselves in a variety of ways. As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly in monitoring challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Monitor and handle challenging behaviours effectively
  • Support students in their social and emotional development
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a special educational needs environment
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and behaviours
  • Ability to build rapport with students and support their individual needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child care are desirable
