We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packhouse Manager to join our client's team in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packhouse, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of soft fruits.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and train a seasonal staff of 40-50 individuals to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality produce.
- Implement and maintain BRC food processing systems and HACCP principles for fruit and freeze-drying operations.
- Strategically manage stock levels to meet packing requirements, including packaging, crates, labels, and film.
- Deliver accurate and timely reports to customers and senior management.
- Oversee packing and dispatch processes to meet customer specifications.
- Hands-on experience in food processing and familiarity with off and in-line labeling and printing systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with external partners for orders and transport arrangements.
- Proficiency in quality management and sales order processing.
- Understanding of Sage accounting processes.
- Salary up to £45,000 DOE.
