Position Overview:

The Business Integrity and Compliance Team plays a crucial role in overseeing Fraud control, GDPR, and ISO compliance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to internal governance protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Promote a culture of information security awareness and compliance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to review and approve training materials related to compliance.
  • Manage the Information Security Management System (ISMS) to ensure its ongoing effectiveness and relevance.
  • Maintain essential logs and registers, including Corrective Actions Log, Risk Registers, and ISO Objectives.
  • Develop and uphold policies and procedures to meet ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Work closely with operational and support teams, especially IT, HR, and Operations, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Revise the internal auditing schedule to enhance governance processes based on feedback and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate external audits, including team preparation and communication of relevant information.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on audit findings, emphasizing best practices and areas needing improvement.
  • Identify root causes of non-conformances and formulate improvement plans.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate future security incidents.
  • Participate in DSMC meetings, providing updates on ISMS progress and presenting opportunities for enhancement.
  • Assist in adopting new relevant certifications as required.
  • Stay updated on legislation, regulations, and contractual obligations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in internal auditing.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards and their implementation.
  • Strong grasp of information security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in creating and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and awareness initiatives.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including MS Office Suite, with adaptability to bespoke CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Certification in information security management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Rail Industry is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a modern office environment with hybrid working options available. The role requires occasional travel to various locations as necessary.
