About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Systems Engineer to join our team at Telent Technology Services Limited. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of traffic signals and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance of traffic signals and associated equipment in accordance with site specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards on site, adhering to all Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Apply technical expertise to complete assigned work within own area of expertise, working within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Conduct planned periodic inspections and attend reactive faults as required by the contract.
  • Interrogate all types of traffic controllers and carry out fault analysis under supervision of Senior Traffic Engineers.
  • Complete maintenance in line with agreed schedules and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Be on call (1 in every 4) to support multiple contracts.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a similar role and proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures, through job-related training and work experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic electrical knowledge or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
  • Fully accredited sector 8.
  • Full Driving Licence.
