Traffic Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team at Telent. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance of traffic signals and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with site specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Apply technical expertise to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.
  • Work within standard operating procedures and scientific methods to ensure efficient and effective maintenance.
  • Carry out planned periodic inspections and attend reactive faults as required by the contract.
  • Interrogate traffic controllers and conduct fault analysis under the supervision of Senior Traffic Engineers.
  • Complete maintenance tasks in line with agreed schedules and Service Level Agreements.
  • Be on call (1 in every 4) to support multiple contracts.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and proficiency in technical processes or procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic electrical knowledge or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
  • Fully accredited sector 8.
  • Full Driving Licence.
