Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Distribution Service Technician to join our Water Network Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our underground network infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of safe and clean drinking water to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on key equipment, including mains cleansing and flushing, disinfection of mains, and tracing mains and apparatus.
- Identify and address contamination risks, ensuring the safety of our customers and the environment.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints and issues, providing excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, contract partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Participate in special projects, such as hard flushing and maintenance projects, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our network operations.
- Comply with statutory and regulatory standards, including hygiene, NRSWA, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Full UK driving license, as you will be required to travel to depots and bases.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including indoor and outdoor work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proactive and problem-solving approach, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
