The Role
As a Driver, you'll have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. You'll be responsible for driving and maintaining vehicles, ensuring they're fit for purpose and in good condition. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Updating documentation and performing standard checks
- Reporting defects in a timely manner
- Carrying out driving tasks as requested, including driving for senior stakeholders
This is a full-time role based on-site at RAF Halton.
Essential Experience:
- Experience working with similar type vehicles
Qualifications:
- Driver qualification licence card (Driver CPC)
- Both LGV and PCV licences (if possible)
- Minimum licence cat C or CAT D
You'll need:
- Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) DVLA Licence category D and Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) DVLA Licence Category C
- Digital tachograph card, with sound knowledge of Driver's Hours Regulation in accordance with EU Directive /
Training for the Successful Candidate:
- Must have held a Cat B licence for 3 years, maximum 3 points and must be over the age of 21 years
- Any training provided will be bonded over a two-year period
- Training must be completed within the candidate's six-month probationary period
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS + SC Clearance.
