We are working with several special needs schools across Bexley and surrounding boroughs to recruit experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for a variety of roles.
About the RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work with students who have a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, ADHD, PMLD, and SEMH. Your role will involve supporting teachers in the classroom, providing one-to-one support to students, and contributing to the development of individualized education plans.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting teachers in the classroom to deliver high-quality education to students with special needs
- Providing one-to-one support to students with complex needs, including those with ASD, MLD, ADHD, PMLD, and SEMH
- Contributing to the development of individualized education plans to meet the needs of students
- Working collaboratively with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, ideally Child and Adult, or be prepared to apply for a new check
- Proven child-related experience
- Knowledge of SEND and previous SEND experience
- Effective classroom management, curriculum knowledge, and good communication skills
- Adaptable and flexible personality
