Consultant Physician in Acute and General Medicine

We are seeking two highly skilled Consultant Physicians to join our team in Acute and General Medicine at University Hospital Wishaw. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the acute rota, which is variable and flexible depending on the commitments of the team.
  • Contribute to the Physician of the Week/Day and weekend on-call rotas.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical colleagues to provide excellent patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and educational activities, including medical student supervision.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for honorary status at the University of Glasgow.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge in Acute and General Medicine.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
