Plant Fitter Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to join our team at Alexandrite Recruitment Ltd. As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining fixed and mobile plant equipment associated with a major quarry in Maidstone.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fixed and mobile plant equipment
* Work with hydraulics and pneumatics systems
* Weld and fabricate plant components
* Collaborate with a team to achieve maintenance goals
* Adhere to health and safety protocols

**Requirements:**

* Minimum 3 years of experience working with heavy plant equipment such as crushers, conveyors, dumpers, and excavators
* Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engines
* Welding and fabricating experience is desirable
* BTEC/NVQ/City & Guilds in plant maintenance or similar engineering qualifications

**What We Offer:**

* Competitive hourly rate of £18-£19 depending on experience
* Vehicle and fuel card provided

As a Plant Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the quarry. You will work with a team to maintain and repair plant equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
