Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly secured.
  • Plan routes and navigate, advising drivers on optimal routes and potential diversions.
  • Confirm delivery times with customers via phone or other communication methods.
  • Help unload goods at delivery points and place items as requested by customers.
  • Obtain delivery signatures and process payments as required.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially when handling hazardous materials.

Requirements:

  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license (optional, but beneficial).

Working Conditions:

  • May involve weekend work.
  • Work can be physically demanding and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.
